Why should I call the Support line?
The hotline is a great resource that is available to you and your supporters 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Some survivors use this service on a daily basis in the beginning and some survivors may never call the support line.
Here are some examples of when the hotline can be useful:
• Anytime you have a question (there are NO stupid questions).
• Anytime you are feeling overwhelmed.
• Anytime you are feeling like your supporters aren’t being supportive or they can’t be supportive at that time.
• Anytime you see your perpetrator.
• Anytime you have a flashback.
• Anytime you are having a hard time sleeping.
• Anytime you are scared.
• Anytime you are questioning your feelings.
Basically the helpline is there for you when you just need a little extra support. Some survivors find it to be very helpful.. The decision is up to you.
