Why would somebody do this to me?

• Sexual Assault is a crime.
• It is about power and control.
• It is NEVER the victim’s fault.

There are many different factors that contribute to this behavior. There is never an excuse or “good reason” for someone to treat another person in this way. Sexual assault is about power, control, violence, anger and manipulation on the part of the perpetrator. The victim is never to blame.
